MEDIEVAL/ VIKING WITH A LITTLE BIT OF FANTASY AND MAGIC.
The Ancient Oak Fayre is the perfect event with something for everybody. This year's event takes place at Stow Country Park in Stow cum Quy on 5-6th September 2026 (Gates open 8:30am, Event starts 9:30am). There is Free Parking and Dogs are very welcome (please keep your dog on a lead and clean up after them).
Visitors are invited to come along and enjoy a wide range of fabulous demonstrations, including: an equestrian stunt team, Devilstick Peat a medieval jester, battle re-enactments, jousting, falconry, Pentacle Drummers, Daridel ( new this year), Pennyless, The Cambridge Waits, Damian and Luna Lionheart.
You can have a picture taken with the Watermill Wolves. Memma the cavewoman will be back again this year and new this year is ferret racing and cuddles!
There are Viking Anglo - Saxon and Medieval living history and battles. You can have a go at archery, axe throwing and Knight school, hold a wild bird with wild touch and take selfies with real-life swimming mermaids, offering a completely immersive and mesmerising experience for all ages.
Younger visitors are invited to explore the Fairy Glade, the most magical part of the Fayre, where a variety of wonderful children’s workshops are included in the ticket price. There you can watch a magic bubble show with Bubbles the Pixie, listen to a story, enjoy Face-painting with Tinkerbelle and hair braiding with Beeze braids.
Adult workshops, along with a craft market, will be running throughout the event with live music from a range of performers and groups. For those feeling hungry or thirsty, there will be a great choice of food and refreshments available, including a beer and mead tent. There will also be a fancy-dress competition for men, women and children with money prizes.

BRoW4 is a voluntary run, non-profit fundraising group. We organise three events a year for non-government or national funded charities. We have a family fun day where there are stalls, catering and live music available. . At our events people have the opportunity to Bike Run or Walk with or with out their 4-legged friend to help raise more money for the charity that we are putting the event on for, our charities are 4dog charities. All the Air Ambulances that cover the UK skies and also the RNLI.
The Cambridge Buskers Festival is organised by the Cambuskers community group. It celebrates and embraces all the talent and culture we have in the city and highlights the Street Performers Code of Practice.
This year instead of holding the event on the streets, the festival will take place in the City’s wonderful local music venues, each of which will host a rota of busker acts throughout the day on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th of June 2025

Cambridge Folk Festival is one of the longest running folk festivals in the world. Held each year since 1965 it attracts around fourteen thousand people, many of whom return year after year. The Festival is renowned for its unique atmosphere and its eclectic mix of music, the best traditional folk artists from the UK and Ireland rub shoulders with cutting edge contemporary acts, the finest American country, blues and roots artists, acclaimed singer songwriters, famous names and world music stars. Set the in the beautiful surroundings of Cherry Hinton Hall Park, the festival is just 15 minutes away from Cambridge's historic City Centre, it is perfect for anyone looking for the feel and atmosphere of a festival set in the deep country side but with close links to the city.
The Cambridge Rock Festival is run by volunteer music fans for music fans, with a great friendly, non-corporate vibe!
2024 saw around 65 acts appearing over four days on three stages at a new venue - Harlocks Farm, Stuntney near Ely in Cambridgeshire. In 2025 CRF celebrated it's coming of age (21 years) back at Harlocks farm in August and returns to this great venue from 30 July to 2 Aug 2026 for the third year running - more details and tickets available on the CRF website. The festival will continue to feature its usual fantastic bar, free car parking and on-site camping with parking by your tent.

Ely Folk Festival is a mid size bijou weekend family friendly folk and roots music festival that takes place in the wonderful cathedral city of Ely. The festival provides an opportunity to listen to some of the best folk acts around in an intimate and friendly environment. With on-site camping facilities, a real ale bar, lots of kids activities, morris dancing displays, ceilidhs, workshops and music sessions, whether you visit for a day or the whole weekend, the festival is a sure winner for music and festival lovers of all ages.
Estafest CIC is a 2 day summer free festival run entirely by volunteers who either own local businesses or are local residents.
All bands/artists donate their time and talent for free, we use local sourced vendors where possible to give entirely back to the community.
Our first festival was in 2024 where we raised enough funds for our town (March in Cambridgeshire) to have its 43rd Defibrillator installed.
Artisan Music presents a not-for-profit festival celebrating music, nature and community at St Mary's Church Brampton. A series of three concerts over the weekend with exceptional folk and acoustic artists raising funds for wildlife charities and church restoration.
The March Summer Festival takes place in June in West End Park in March, Cambridgeshire.
2025 was the event's 25th anniversary and featured performances from: WAX, The Sixteenths and The King Blues on Friday's Rock in the Park night; Town School Students, Charlotte Carpenter, I Mine, Dingo Jingo, Groove Cartel, One Wild Night and the brilliant Grace Petrie on Saturday's Pop in the Park; and the Fenland Music Centre orchestra, Aimee Peart Webb and The Alan Norris Big Band on Sunday plus a poetry event where groups of young people performed their new pieces created with the help of local and renowned national poets in celebration of the life and work of Benjamin Zephaniah.
The 2026 event takes place on 12-14 June 2026.

Needingworth Music Festival (NFEST) is a free entry annual community music festival held over two days in July, in the village of Needingworth in Cambridgeshire at the Village Hall and Playing Fields. NFEST was established in the mid 90s and celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2026. Its' performers are primarily drawn from the local rock and blues scenes.

Cambridge’s free summer outdoor arts festival, takes place throughout the city centre’s historic streets and open spaces. Acclaimed performance artists bring extraordinary worlds of imagination, humour and colour to Cambridge, drawing crowds and entertaining and amazing everyone as they go. During the festival, locally based community arts groups and young performers also showcase their talents.

Peterborough STEM Festival is an annual celebration of all things Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths within Peterborough and the surrounding area.
Established in 2016, the entirely free event has grown from 500 to 4000 visitors and our core aim is to encourage the next generation and in particular girls and young women into considering careers with a STEM background.

MUSIC, ARTS AND UNEXPECTED DELIGHTS
The first St Neots Festival (organised by Neotists CIC) in June 2023 won the EAFN Cambridgeshire Festival of the Year Award (and was Runner up for the whole region). Although hampered by bad weather the 2024 event was another success and's finished 8th overall in the region's 2024 awards. The Festival is taking a break in 2025 and plans to return to Priory Park in 2026.

Strawberry Fair has grown to be the most popular free, entirely volunteer run, one day music & arts event in Cambridge (and probably across Europe!), attracting over 30,000 visitors throughout the day. On the first Saturday of June and now passed our 40th year, residents and visitors have gathered together on Midsummer Common to celebrate their vibrant and creative city.
The Fair is run entirely by volunteers (affectionately known as Strawberry Fairies) who give their energy, imagination and vision to present to their friends and neighbours in Cambridge a great free day out.
