Legends of Rock 2026 – Four Days of Rocking, Partying, Memories and Community Spirit
The Rock Party of the Year returns to the Norfolk coast
Rock fans gathered once again at Parkdean’s Vauxhall Holiday Resort for the 14th edition of Classic Rock Tour’s much-loved Legends of Rock Festival. This four-day Rock celebration features more than 50 tribute, covers and original acts across two venues and is a three-time winner of the EAFN’s Norfolk Festival of the Year Awards.
For one returning attendee (me) it was my 13th visit to the festival, having missed just a single year since the event began.
Thursday’s Glam Night Sets the Tone
The weekend kicked off in style on Thursday with the festival’s ever-popular Glam Night, where crowds rocked along to high-energy performances finishing with top tribute bands ELO Encounter, The Darkniss and Slade UK ending a glamtastic first night. In true glam spirit, both bands even managed to sneak in their huge Christmas hits.
Friday Highlights
Friday continued the momentum with standout performances all day long, including a fan-favourite set from Ian Dury and the Blackheads, which proved to be a personal highlight for many in attendance.
The festival also showcased impressive original acts from near and far. Among them were Hekz, fronted by Matt Young. It was great to see how they had matured since I put them on as teenagers 21 years earlier on the Future Stage at Cambridge’s Strawberry Fair. Other original acts that caught attention included White Tyger from the West Midlands and Go Go from Portugal, adding an international flavour to the line-up.
Saturday’s Tribute Powerhouse
Saturday delivered a packed programme of crowd-pleasing tribute performances including:
• Straighten Out
• Fleetwood Bac
• Foo Forgers
• Live Wire
The performances kept the energy high as fans packed the venues late into the night.
Sunday: Still Rocking on Day Four
Even by the fourth day, the enthusiasm of festivalgoers showed no sign of fading. Sunday’s line-up featured a wide range of tribute acts including:
• Too Petty who ended the gig with a Travelling Wilburys tribute they first performed during Covid.
• Green Days
• Telegram Sam
• Forever Springsteen
• Hi-On Maiden
• Aerosmith Rocks
There were more great original acts performing through the day, notably Spike (Choirboys) and Del Bromham (Stray) who filled the V-Lounge.
The Quo Connection, and Queen tribute the Bohemians and the famous late night jam rounded off a weekend filled with classic rock to fill your head with earworms for the next few weeks!
Late Nights and Fancy Dress
For the most dedicated fans, the music didn’t stop when the stages closed. Late-night jam sessions carried on into the early hours for the hardiest rockers — though some attendees (including me) admitted midnight now feels like a sensible bedtime. Adding to the fun was the festival’s vibrant fancy-dress culture, with tutus and colourful outfits appearing throughout the weekend
Charity Success
Beyond the music, the festival community showed its generous side. A charity raffle raised over £6,000 for the homeless charity St Mungo’s, highlighting the strong spirit of support among attendees.
A Festival Escape
As the amps cooled and the crowds began their journeys home — some even scheduling post-festival osteopath visits to recover from the weekend’s rocking — praise was shared widely for the organisers.
A huge thanks goes to Eddie, Elaine, Justin, Debbie and the entire Legends of Rock and Vauxhall crew for delivering another memorable event.
For four days, the festival once again offered fans a chance to forget the pressures of everyday life and simply enjoy great music, good company and the timeless spirit of rock and roll.
