The inaugural East Anglian Festival Network (EAFN) Show was a great success. The Show was a joint venture between Neon Street and Gigs Out (both based in Suffolk) and was sponsored by Gofer Ltd and PAC Wristbands.
Tuesday 16th October saw over 150 attendees (event organisers, planners and support services) from across the region come to The Apex in Bury St Edmunds.
Exhibitors from across East Anglia showcased their products/services to the people who make the most exciting events across the region happen:
The keynote speaker for EAFN 2018 was Fred Fellowes, Founder of the Secret Garden Party and inaugural winner of the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF) Pioneer award;
The Sustainability session featured Nic Fosdike, Managing Director of Gofer Ltd one of the leading companies for temporary power solutions in the UK. Stephanie Quilliam from Serendipity Street Catering also spoke about local sourcing and sustainable catering;
Eddie Barcan of Splendid Events who ran and programmed Cambridge Folk Festival for 23 consecutive sell-outs. represents Kate Rusby, programmes the Avalon stage at Glastonbury Festival and carries out a diverse range of roles for many other clients;
The ‘Funding and Developing your events to the next level’ session featured Adrian Cook from Arts Council England who champion, develop and invest in artistic and cultural experiences that enrich people’s lives.
There was also live music at lunchtime from Alton Wahlberg and great food from Sodexo Prestige.
